Hello!

I’m Kate Davies, your new County Brownie Adviser. I’ve been in post for a few months now and am enjoying getting to grips with all things Brownie related at County, Regional and National level. I run a Brownie unit in Chilcompton (where I also run a Guide unit). I have around 30 Brownies, all from the local area, but from 4 or 5 different schools, so there is plenty of opportunity for the girls to make new friends. My Brownies are very lively and can be extremely exhausting, but I still enjoy every minute of our meetings! I have a great team of leaders and
YLs Gemma, Gemma, Hayley, Charlotte and Holly we love our planning meetings over dinner at our local pub and work really well as a team.

I firmly believe that it is important to create a safe space for the girls where they can have lots of fun, whilst learning and experiencing new things, and I’m very interested in visiting your units, to see how you all do things. I’d like to
encourage all you Brownie Leaders to share all your vast knowledge and experience with each other, and hope to find different ways to do this over the next few years.
