For those Units wanting to try something a bit different (and work off all those excesses!), Mendip Outdoor Pursuits, an Outdoor Activity company, is offering Girlguiding a 20% discount off their normal rate.  Their usual 2½  hour session price for a group of 8 people is £145 (£18.12 per person) but with the discount is only £116 (£14.50 per person).  There are some activities which can have up to 12 in a group which means the rate per person reduces even further to under £10 per session!

This rate will only apply to our Centenary year, after which it goes back to their usual 5% off! 

The beauty of it is, the Guiders don’t even have to participate (or go off and have a cup of tea), as the instructors are insured, CRB checked and fully trained in first aid, etc, etc.  (obviously there are some Guiders, like me, who would be itching to get themselves involved!)
