Would you like to volunteer in Sangam World Centre?
Closing date is 31st December for volunteering 2011 - 2012.
Please see below for application form and more details.
Volunteering at Sangam’s programmes is an outstanding opportunity to learn about Indian culture, share the friendship of international Guiding and Scouting and develop teamwork, organization and inter-personal skills. Volunteers at Sangam help run WAGGGS International Events or Seminars from June through March each Sangam event season, and serve for either 3½ months from May/June to late-September or 6 months from September to March.
Volunteers have the opportunity to develop their skills through learning from experiences and from feedback from Sangam’s staff and guests. Programme Volunteers are provided with a private room, meals, partial subsidy of their transportation expenses, and a small monthly stipend. Enthusiastic, hard-working, and creative members of WAGGGS, who are keen for new experiences and willing to challenge themselves, are encouraged to apply by following the procedures below.
Applicants must submit:
-
The 4-page application below via email or post
-
3 Reference Forms from people who are able to comment on the applicant’s skills and attitude; at least 1 and no more than 2 must be from someone within Scouting/Guiding; NO family members
The application and references must reach Sangam by December 31st the year prior to the appointment. We require the signature of your International Commissioner on your application form.
