Brownie Outdoor Fun Day!
The sun shone, the Brownies had a great time trying the 25 activities on offer, and there were LOTS of smiling faces!
A huge THANK YOU from the organising team for all your support in promoting it, bringing your Brownies, and giving your help on the day!

Broaden your Horizons BP weekend |
“Broaden your Horizons” BP weekend 20 girls from across the County came to Bath Guide HQ for a challenging weekend in April. First the International Advisers, Helen and Hollie, ran a session of international craft and food sampling. After lunch the girls were divided into groups of four and challenged to find all the charity shops in Bath! They had to match these to pictures. They also had to purchase items in the charity shops to illustrate a country of their choice in a presentation. Light relief was provided by a game of Adventure Golf in Victoria Park. At 6pm we went next door to the Italian restaurant “Aqua” for dinner. Although most of the girls stuck to tried and tested food some were more adventurous. Next were the presentations. A variety of items had been bought, representing Canada, England, Japan, India and Africa. All the Guides “slept” in the big room with the added excitement of a fight breaking out on the street below! After the ambulance had departed at 2am the girls settled down. Everybody was up early, either for a swim and shower or a short walk, before breakfast. This was followed by craft and lunch. The weekend was rounded off with a trip up the river Avon on the top deck of the boat in glorious sunshine. |

Senior Section info documents |
To accompany the rollout of the new Senior Section programme we have created a number of single-page information sheets to help everyone know what the Senior Section are all about. The Senior Section are all our members aged 14-26 - including Young Leaders, Rangers, Guiders, Duke of Edinburgh service volunteers and more... That means that leaders of every section need to understand the Senior Section - if you have a Young Leader we have an info sheet for you, if you help with the leadership scheme we also have info... The info sheets are: - Notes for All Guiders and Commissioners
- Notes for Adult Leadership Scheme Mentors
- Notes for Senior Section Guiders
- Notes for Young Leader Guiders
- Notes for Young Leaders
These can all be downloaded from the Resources > Public Downloads area > Senior Section folder area of the website |
