HUNDREDS of brownies, guides and rainbows have been enjoying an action packed programme of activities as part of celebrations to mark the centenary of guiding.
A six-day camp at Woodhouse Park in Almondsbury involves about 400 youngsters staying on site, with hundreds more visiting just for one day.
The girls belong to groups that form the Somerset North area.
Spokeswoman Sarah Beveridge, who is also leader of the 4th Keynsham brownies, said it was thought to be the first time in about 21 years that a large scale county camp had been held.
She said: "The girls have been taking part in all kinds of activities from scuba diving in a tank to abseiling."
