As part of the amazing County Training day at Chew Magna, there was a great turnout for the session on walking. We covered a lot of ground! Planning, group management and leadership, forms and safety, map reading and compass work were all on the menu. The classroom was later discarded for the outdoors as everyone tried their hand at pacing and using the compass. Look out for the summer walks to progress those skills.
