Girlguiding Somerset North is one of the sixteen Counties and Islands that belong to Girlguiding South West England - and beyond that, we’re part of Girlguiding UK, and WAGGGS, the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. That makes us part of a very big and exciting movement!

Our Guide County of Somerset North covers the two Unitary authorities of Bath and North East Somerset, and North Somerset. In Somerset North we are arranged in six Divisions (Bath, Clevedon, Wansdyke, Weston-super-Mare, Wraxall and Yeo Vale) and we have smaller Districts within these.

In order to support all the girls and young women involved as Rainbows, Brownies, Guides or Senior Section members we have a network of adult volunteers who give their time and experience to run weekly meetings and a multitude of events including camps, sports events, international trips. To run our programme we have a team of County Advisers, trainers and support staff, all of whom are lead by our County Commissioner. All these people are volunteers, and passionate about Guiding in Somerset North!
