Sue M - County CommissionerWelcome to our website and I hope that you will find it both useful and informative.  Girlguiding Somerset North covers the unitary authorities of Bath and North East Somerset, and North Somerset.  We are part of Girlguiding UK which is the largest female organisation in the Country that enables girls and young women to develop their potential and to make a difference to the world.

Guiding today aims:

    * To give a safe girl-only space
    * To be relevant to today’s girls
    * To promote diversity and equality
    * To give our young women a voice

Guiding is about leadership and team building, caring for others, adventure and having fun and offers something for every interest from the outdoors to craft, socialising to residential events and international travel.

Somerset North has around 5,000 members who enjoy the fun and friendship of Guiding aged from 5 years upwards. Unit meetings usually take place once a week during term time enabling girls to make lasting friendships, develop a huge sense of adventure and learn to take responsibility for themselves and others.
